For the Glory of Christ Alone

How To Get To Heaven

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in, trusts in, and relies on Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
"But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
"But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, has made us alive together with Christ;..." Ephesians 2:4, 5

It is clear from Scripture what God thinks of you. God loves you.
He loves you enough to allow you to make your own free choices about Him. You have the ability to choose Him or to deny Him. It is your choice.
We are saved only by accepting God's marvelous grace, provided for us in Jesus Christ.

Here's what the Bible says about salvation.

1. You must be "born-again" - John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him[Nicodemus], 'Truthfully, I say to you, Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.'
{So, what does that mean for each of us?}

2. You must "repent" of your sinfulness - Luke 13:3
[Jesus said] "...except you repent you shall all likewise perish"
{Repentance is a complete change of life; a change of conduct from one of wickedness to one who desires to live a godly and holy life}

3. You must "confess" Jesus Christ as not only the Savior of your life but, also, the Lord of your life - Romans 10:9
"That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you shall be saved."

4. You "receive" Christ by faith and you are then 'born-again' and become a child of God - John 1:12
"But as many as received Him to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:..."

Would you allow us to help you in your new spiritual walk? You see, there are only two paths. One leads to eternal damnation and destruction. It is what the Bible, God's Holy Word, calls Hell. The other is what the Bible calls Heaven. It is a place of eternal joy and peace with our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus. It is heaven that each of us should desire above all else. But we must choose to receive God's provision for our sinfulness.

The truth is, none of us are qualified for God's kingdom. We have sinned and fallen short of God's glory (Romans 3:23). Imagine a chasm that stands between us and God. We cannot jump high enough and far enough to cross it. The only way we can make it across is by walking across a bridge. God gave us that bridge in Jesus Christ. He made Him who was without sin to become sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus died on the cross to be our propitiation (atoning sacrifice) and He paid in His own flesh the debt that was mine. It was only out of love towards us that God offered this gracious gift of mercy. But as with any gift, it is your responsibility to receive it. Won't you extend the hands of faith and receive today what Jesus has already offered?

Pray this simple prayer!
"Dear Lord Jesus, please come into my heart. I repent of my sins. Forgive me, I pray. I trust You to save me and show me Your ways. I thank you at this moment for saving me and coming into my heart. I rejoice in the plans and future you have for me. In Jesus' name I pray. AMEN!"
